I started looking for some tools to assist me in graphing out profit/ loss possibilities as well as what if scnearios when using various option strategies given I am considering a move to a discount broker whose tools are not all that strong yet.  I wanted to share this site I ran across, plus ask if anyone else has used this tool and if so what did you think about it?

May i know who is the broker and why would u like to move to that broker?

Why- Because it may not be a good idea to move unless there is really a clear $$ benefit. You will have to have a real-time stream from somewhere even if you are using an excel based options calculator. ...

For instance, there is one question in the FAQ- "- Where does the program get data from? Is it free? Do I need a subscription?..Everything is free, no subscriptions or registrations are required. Yahoo! Finance and the CBOE website are the main data sources."..

I shall be glad to know if there is a way to get real-time data from any of the above two for free...if someone knows pls let me know...

This may be good, if you are not looking for real-time analysis....and only for those underlying that are covered by Yahoo finance primarily.

I suggest reading the FAQs (http://www.kaininito.com/options/faq.html) and see if this really meet the objectives you are looking for.

I am looking at Optionshouse as their commission structure is much better than OptionsXpress who is my current broker.  While looking around their site and completing some virtual trades, I was able to play around with some of their tools, but none that presented a really good visual for iron condors or diagonal spreads that I found.  I've heard good things about Think or Swim's tools, but again their commission structure is relatively high compared to other discount brokers.

What is the commission that OptionHOuse has offered to you? Using OP as reference, TOS will offer lower rate vs published ones (let me know I can refer you to them)..

Try Interactive Brokers. They charge $0.7 per contract. Unless you trade more than 10-15 contracts per trades, that's hard to beat.

As Option Calculator - try OptionsOracle http://www.samoasky.com/ Great tool, and it's free.

Could you please give me a referral to TOS?  I'm interested in switching brokers as now I have tradeking whose commissions are much higher.

Thanks.
