CBOE is doing a free 3 hr class on index options trading... dont know how good or bad it will be but it is f-r-e-e so I'll take any tid-bits I can get... CBOE seems to do well with their educational programs so I think it will be good.

Also doing one in in Boca Raton and Tampa...

here is the link... if any OPN'ers are going to go, let me know!

Hi Dave,

Thanks for the info.

I registered for the CBOE Boca Event on Feb. 10, mostly just to meet & get together Dave.
I don't expect to get much from the session, been there done that, but I think it would be fun to attend the session together & compare notes.

I suggest we meet for dinner around 4:30 - 4:45. Does that work for you? And any one else who will attend from OPN too.

I live in Boynton Beach. You?

While you are at the CBOE session you may want to ask them why we should trade their index options when the bid/ask spreads are so wide you can drive a truck through them Grin

Seriously that seems to override any tax advantages, cash settlement or size advantage that index options have over ETF options.

kjeb, good point! I will bring that up.

Sam, sorry I meant that I will be at the orlando event, but that the CBOE was hosting events in Boca and Tampa also. If there were no Orlando event, I'd make the drive to Boca, but Orlando is a lot closer. You thinking about attending the 'money show' in Orlando at all?

Sorry for the delay in replying Dave,

I seemed to have overlooked enabling this thread & was curious why I had not heard from you.  Smiley

My email address is smrusso@aol.com.  Try typing it directly into your email address line.

After I replied to you I realized that you might have only been providing the info for us. Smiley

I will not be attending the Orlando Money Show.

Turns out that my wife is having eye surgery on Feb. 10 so now I can stay with her that evening.  So I will not attend the Boca seminar.
